The Christchurch branch of Mainland Driving School is based at 105 Hayton Road in Wigram, easily accessible from SH73 & 75. We have a great, newly-refurbished facility with plenty of on-site parking
If you can’t make it into the branch, no problem - we can come to you. We're able to run courses anywhere between Christchurch and Kaikoura or the West Coast or down to the Rakaia. Contact our team today to find out more (please note minimum numbers apply).

Mainland Driving School has been providing NZTA approved vehicle licensing and endorsement courses in Christchurch for over 20 years.
Our friendly team of trainers are highly experienced and are passionate about delivering quality training – meet our team below. We also have our own heavy vehicles and machinery so you don’t need to worry about any additional hire costs.

Ivan McPhail
General Manager
Ivan joined Mainland Driving School two and a half years ago as Manager bringing with him 30 years experience in the Civil and Transport Industries. The previous job he held was with the same company for 15 years working his way up to Operations Manager. Outside of work he enjoys time with family and granddaughter. He is also President of Woodford Glen Speedway.
Debbie Wisker

Debbie has been the face of the company for over 2 years now, running our busy office with all the administration. Debs spent 30 years in the banking sector before joining Mainland Driving School. Debs enjoys going out with friends and trying new restaurants in Canterbury with one of her favourites being The Athens Yacht Club.
Joel Park
Trainer/Assessor
Joel is the backbone of Mainland Driving school’s forklift training having been with the company for over 16 years and is well regarded in the training sector. When not working Joel and his wife like to see parts of NZ with a nice craft beer.
